27. Methods of Metal Extraction

Learning Objectives

  • Identify some of the characteristics of metals (Level 3)
  • Describe the appearance of some metals and metal compounds e.g.  grey, shiny (Level 3)
  • Describe features of metals re. high melting points, good thermal and electrical conductors etc (Level 4)
  • Explain why metals have a high melting point – lattice structure (Level 5)
  • Explain why metals are used in electric circuits-  free electrons  (Level 5)
